GR POWER SWITCHGEAR LTD., was established in 1984 by Mr. C. Gopala Reddy, a technocrat and now playing a vital role in Indian Electrical Engineering Industry.
GRPSL under the dynamic leadership of Mr. C. Gopala Reddy as Chairman & Managing Director, and a board of High Profile Directors / Executives has been steadily growing for the past two and a half decades serving the Indian Electrical Industry.
GRPSL is engaged in design, manufacture, testing and supply of HIGH VOLTAGE ISOLATORS from 11 kV to 420 kV, with current rating upto 4000 Amps, which are required by POWER SECTOR for generation, transmission and distributions of power, and supplied its products to various State Elecy. Boards, and India’s power giants Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., (PGCIL) & M/s National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd., (NTPC) Projects, and other utilities in India and abroad.
GRPSL have developed 11 kV Outdoor Porcelain Clad Vacuum Circuit Breakers in the year 2000, and supplied to various State Elecy. Boards, and also various Power Distribution Companies in Andhra Pradesh.
GRPSL is also engaged in the field of WIND ENERGY GENERATION, and have commissioned 2 Nos. Wind Energy Generators (each having 250 KW), at Varapatti Village, Palladam Tq., Coimbatore Dist., Tamil Nadu during 1995 and supplying Energy to Tamil Nadu Electricity Board. 2nd Wind Energy Generator having 600 KW Capacity was commissioned on 24/03/2007 near Tenkasi in Tirunelveli Dist., Tamil Nadu.
GRPSL Quality Systems have been certified by M/s TUV India Pvt. Limited, and accorded ISO 9001 : 2000 Certificate.
Started own unit in the name of ‘GR POWER SWITCHGEAR” for manufacture and supply of AB Switches / Disconnectors / Isolators required for AP State Electricity Board.
Subsequently, developed the business upto 200 KV Isolators, and supplied huge quantities of Isolators from 11 KV to 220 KV to various State Electricity Boards and other utilities in the country, and the proprietory concern converted into a Private Limited Company in the year 1992.
Startup
As part of the Diversification, indigenously designed, manufactured, tested and supplied 400 KV Horizontal Centre Break Isolators and supplied to state Elecy. Boards.
Limited Company
The company is concerted into a Limited Company and diversified the activities.
Circuit Intro
Developed 11 KV Porcelain clad Vacuum Circuit Breakers and executed orders for various Discoms in Andhra Pradesh.

National Award in 1996 from Dr. Shankar Dayal Sarma, President of India at Rashtrapathi Bhavan, New Delhi, for helping country towards self sufficiency in the power sector.
Gourav Udyog Vibhushan Award of the Millennium, 2000 from the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, for helping country by meeting the increased demand and to make the country self sufficiency in power sector.
